Grant Halliday – Research intern

Grant Halliday received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from Yale University in 2021. His senior essay analyzed institutions of grain distribution within Late Merovingian France. This analysis combined historical research with institutional and historical economics, as well as recent developments in environmental sciences. His primary interests are medieval and early modern economic institutions, especially their interactions with the environment and social equality, and what these can tell us about modern institutions.
