Biography

Véronique De Herde holds a PhD from UcLouvain (Belgium). She conducted an interdisciplinary analysis of collective dynamics in the Walloon dairy sector in pathways of product diversification. The PhD focused on the evolution of the cooperative form in the dairy sector from a historical perspective and in the present context with an eye on the impact of the interactions between the dairy cooperatives and the farmers in terms of identities and practices. As to her background, Véronique is historian (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and bioengineer (UcLouvain), and has a diversified career track in Belgium and abroad. Between 2018 and 2020, she was an active volunteer at Eurodoc, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers, where she acted as secretariat coordinator, open science ambassador and contact for Plan S. She has published and intervenes regularly in panels on research policy and culture.
