
Biography
Emil holds an MSc in Global Business & Sustainability from RSM and will obtain his PhD at the Dutch Research Institute for Transitions (DRIFT) in autumn 2026. His research is centered on the concept of commons-based transition governance, which articulates the strategies developed by citizen collectives to pursue societal change. He is experienced in qualitative and action-oriented methods, and aims to use his position in ECCO to strengthen transformative research collaborations.
