Introduction
Case studies can help us to understand how a particular institution functions in particular circumstances, how these differ from country to country, and what the implications are for their daily functioning and survival in the long run. Our aim is to present some cases for each type of institution. For more information on each of the cases we refer to the literature list that accompanies the case description.
Overview of case studies
Several researchers have kindly submitted case studies on various institutions for collective actions. In the table underneath you will find an overview of the available case studies, the numbers mentioned in the table refer to the number of case studies available on that specific topic. You may also want to have an overview per type or per country: in that case, just click either on the name of the type of institution or on the name of the country.
