During the 10th EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise, Lukas Held, scientific project coordinator of CollectivePower.eu, gave a presentation, titled: ‘Engaged research on citizen collectives in the Netherlands through an Extreme Citizen Science platform’ (by Lukas Held and Tine De Moor, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and Montserrat Prats López, Open University).
Lukas explained the workings of CollectieveKracht, the knowledge platform for citizen collectives, which brings together citizen collectives, researchers, policy makers, financers and supporters of citizen collectives in a collaborative network. Lukas explained how CollectieveKracht takes an Extreme Citizen Science approach in which citizen collectives can play an active role in shaping research on issues that are important to them. Insights from research are shared with the collectives through infographics, workshops, and online tools, helping them to strengthen their collectives.
The presentation was part of the session Communal SE – Commons Creation on Tuesday 4 November. This was the first day of the conference and took place in Rotterdam, hosted by the Erasmus University. During the EMES conference week, several team members of the SEICA research group will present their work. View the full program.
