Tine De Moor will take part as one of the speakers at the Jan Brouwer Conference & KHMW Brouwer Trust Prizes 2026

The Jan Brouwer Conference & KHMW Brouwer Trust Prizes 2026 is a conference organized by the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW) around the overarching theme “Working together on trust”, culminating in the presentation of the 2026 KHMW Brouwer Trust Prizes.

The programme includes expert keynote presentations on topics such as polarization and resilience, the necessity of social architecture in democratic societies, and Tine De Moor’s talk “Trust in one another: the effect of collective action on democratic engagement” — how citizen collectives can contribute to rebuilding trust and democratic cohesion. 

Speakers:

  • Prof. dr. J.C.J. (Hans) Boutellier, expert on polarisation & resilience, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. 
  • Prof. dr. M. (Jet) Bussemaker, Chair of the Council for Public Health & Society, University of Leiden.
  • Prof. dr. M. (Tine) de Moor, initiator of CollectieveKracht and Professor of Social Enterprise and Institutions for Collective Action, Rotterdam School of Management.


Moderator: Prof. dr. G.T.M. (Geert) ten Dam, KHMW board member.

  • 17:00 – 18:50 — Conference & award ceremony for the KHMW Brouwer Trust Prizes.
